Costs of transposing EU environmental protection directives into Romania

Abstract:
This paper was meant to estimate the challenges from the legal and economic point of view of transposing the EU directives regarding environmental protection in Romania. The focus was on the legislation regulating the disposal of waste oils. The paper analyzed the existing legislation in Romania, the new demands and request of the EU Directive and the steps to be taken to implement this directive. As well the paper gives an estimate of costs needed for fulfilling the objectives of the directive.
