Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the thoughts of Ibn Khaldun who was one of the great Islamic scholars who lived in the dark ages of Islam or the beginning of the Renaissance period in Europe. Ibn Khaldun's thoughts in the context of Islamic economics are often found in his monumental work "Muqadimmah" in which he provides a lot of descriptions of the concept of national wealth, macro economic balance, wage theory, international trade, money, taxes and market mechanisms and others which are very useful for study and analysis. Islamic economic development. The author focuses on the discussion of Ibn Khaldun's trade concept with the relevance of Law No. 7 of 2014 which explains that national development in the economic field is prepared and implemented to promote public welfare through the implementation of economic democracy.
