Abstract: The present work examines the management agreement of the public higher education institutions, introduced with the Higher education act. The essence of the management agreement and the relation to other legal institutes and principles is studied in detail. Special attention is paid to some administrative law aspects of the management agreement of the public higher education institution, concluded between its chancellor and the Minister of the education and science. Based on the legal analysis the authors make conclusions and recommendations for the adequate application of the norms in the practice.
