Gino Santarossa

MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany

Abstract: This note briefly describes regression discontinuity method which estimates program impact when participation depends upon a treshhold value of a selection variable. The program evaluation impact might be done in a 2-step strategy. First, one graphically analyze the relation between the dependent variable and the selection factor in order to get some indications about the functional form and the nature of the discontinuity at the treshold. Next, an econometric analyses is formally done in order to estimate program impact.
