Abstract: This article examines the dynamics of the development of the agrarian economy of Kazakhstan in the conditions of membership in the EAEU. The assessment of integration processes is studied at the global, national, and regional levels. The initial link in the assessment system is the needs of the household and individuals. The purpose of the study is to identify, using a system of indicators, the potential for the development of the agrarian economy in ensuring the food security of the state in the conditions of the EAEU, assessing the food security of Kazakhstan, based on the use of indicators of food availability, availability and sufficiency of food consumption, quality and safety, and assessing the resource potential of the agro-industrial complex. The novelty of the tasks being solved consists in clarifying the methodological foundations for assessing the parameters of food security, methods and assessment tools based on a system of indicators, substantiating proposals for the further development of the agricultural sector of the economy. The study of the problem showed that when solving practical problems, existing methods of assessing food security do not allow taking into account important features of the economies of the EAEU member states, using them for decision-making. Measures are proposed to develop methodological foundations for creating tools for measuring, evaluating and regulating the processes of interaction between countries. The food security of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the study period is assessed as insufficient and is mainly caused by a decrease in the availability of food, incomplete use of the resource potential of the agrarian economy of Kazakhstan. Measures are proposed to create the necessary conditions necessary for assessing food security and food independence of the country. Proposals are being made to improve the state policy on the development of the agricultural sector of the economy, to ensure food security in the field of ensuring physical and economic accessibility of food, food security, in the institutional sphere, designed to increase the level of food security in Kazakhstan.
