MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
This contribution examined the various crises that the Eurozone has experienced in recent years—from the global financial crisis to the Greek sovereign debt crisis and the challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. These crises have raised questions about the very existence of the European Monetary Union, impacting production, employment, public debt, and the growth of Eurozone countries. Furthermore, they have prompted significant changes in the governance of the Eurozone.
