Impacto devaluatorio sobre las exportaciones e importaciones de Argentina
Devaluation Impact on Argentina's Exports and Imports
Luis Frank
MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
The paper decomposes prices and exchange rate in the supply and demand functions of exports and imports of goods, respectively, in order to assess the impact of a devaluation on Argentina's foreign trade. The results show that, due to Argentina's particular productive structure, the impact of a devaluation on exports is practically neutral, while the impact on imports results mainly in a drop in the renewal and maintenance of capital goods.
