Crecimiento, Comercio Internacional y Convergencia
Growth, International Trade and Convergence
Alejo Macaya
MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
The paper extends the growth and international trade model analyzed by Ventura (1997). In particular, it examines the effects of the trade policy of a small open economy (a tariff on the import of a capital-intensive good) on capital accumulation, consumption and welfare. In addition, a geometric interpretation is provided of the non-convergence result found in the original paper.
