Abstract:
Objective: to analyse the proportion of federal professional licences obtained by graduates of the Virtual University of the State of Michoacán (UNIVIM) in the period 2015-2024, comparing it with the national average. Methodology: a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional approach was used, with descriptive statistics to calculate percentages and statistical inference to perform linear regression analysis. Results: it was found that federal professional licences with UNIVIM programmes correspond to 2.4% of total enrolment, which is significantly lower than the national average of 11.3%. Linear regression analysis showed that the independent variables (number of students and graduates) are not significant in explaining or predicting the volume of federal professional licences. Conclusions: the low rate of obtaining federal professional certificates at UNIVIM suggests a problem in the process of completing studies or a lack of interest on the part of graduates in applying for them.
