Money in a Sovereign Quebec

Abstract: In this paper it is argued that a sovereign Quebec would be unable to continue using the Canadian dollar as its currency. Companies with large investments in Quebec should thus anticipate that if Quebec separates , a lasting monetary union with Canada would be practically impossible.
