Abstract:
The mafia business has spread out its interest towards new sectors, from tourism to large-scale retail trade and public services, like wastes, producing an income estimated around 6% of italian GPA. Moreover, the Mafia presence in the economic field presents also a "clean" face that, through money laundering, results involved in formally legal activities. Therefore, tha autor deals with the issue of the alterations caused by mafia criminality on market functioning.
