Abstract:
This paper discusses the Conditional Cash transfer Program, the main public policy against poverty in Latin America today. The poverty level, and both the institutional characteristics and the results achieve by the programs are highlighted. The paper conclude that CCT are helping to reduce the poverty level, but at the same time the results are not the same in the sphere of the income inequality, item that is used to measure the poor people.
