Abstract: The paper focuses on the role of entrepreneurship education in European education systems. European Commission recommendations on desirable qualifications of graduates as well as on contents of education in the field of entrepreneurship were described. The current state of art was evaluated on the basis of reports of European Commissions as well as on own empirical research conducted among 109 small the and medium-sized enterprises random sample and 131 communes situated in Małopolska (Lesser Poland) and Śląsk (Silesia). The paper tries to draw recommendations and directions for future shape of entrepreneurship education in Poland. The aim of the paper is to evaluate current state of art is in the field of entrepreneurship education as well as to draw recommendation in the field of entrepreneurial attitudes formation.
