Diaspora and developement: What intercations in the Moroccan case?

MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
After a brief review of the institutional context on the issue of migration in Morocco, we show that Moroccan migrants have an ambiguous behavior (through remittances), mixing a sense of altruism and selfishness. We also show that Morocco is not benefiting enough from its diaspora in terms of investments (through remittances) or in terms of spillover effects (spillover) of these investments (through technology transfer).
