Abstract:
The use of telemetry via wireless communication technique is able to support the process of operating vending machines. The advantages on appropriate kinds of vending machines can be achieved by using a demand-driven instead of a trigger-driven provisioning as well as a trouble-shooting in real time. The availability of reliable telemetrically collected real time data enhance the analysis and optimization of the supply in vending machines and the profitability of vending machine places, too. Furthermore, this article shows criteria for the choice of right vending machine places for the use of telemetry as well as current telemetry modules and their significant weaknesses. The article concludes with conceptual proposals and shapes an exemplary picture of Mobile Vending with full usage of the mobile business processes’ potential.
