Abstract:
The objective of the paper is to examine the impact of economic openness on FDI inflows and the interaction between foreign presence and labor productivity in the case of Moroccan manufacturing. Our estimation showed that the entry into force of the Association Agreement has boosted FDI inflows especially European. Similarly, the foreign presence has a positive impact on the productivity of manufacturing firms in Morocco. However, the relationship between foreign presence and productivity is complex and depends on the absorption capacity of Moroccan firms or technological gap between foreign and Moroccan firms
