Occupazione e crescita in Italia

Employment and growth in Italy

Daniele Schiliro'

MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany

Abstract: This paper examines the main issues related to the labor market in Italy and indicates some possible solutions that do not focus exclusively on the flexibility of the labor market, but rather on the overall problem and the complexity of employment, with its economic dimension, but also social. The article points out a series of measures of economic policy, but also the need for the involvement of various social actors: companies, state, local institutions, public administration, workers and, more generally, citizens. Europe, too, can do its part for employment, creating a common economic policy that provides, among other things, support for small and medium-sized enterprises and labor policy-oriented European economic growth to overcome structural unemployment of long duration.
