Abstract:
In this paper I will examine the growth models of Romer (1986) and Lucas (1988) which constitute an important first core to the endogenous growth theory, in order to understand the characteristics, to highlight the relationship between knowledge and economic growth and / or emphasize the importance of human capital in the growth process. These models take account of technological change, the accumulation of knowledge and externalities. At the same time they highlight the existence of a divergence in long-term equilibrium among the different economic systems.
