Abstract:
This paper uses a wide range of 15 agricultural products to analyze the causal relationship between Cameroon and Gabon. The study is based on the panel estimation of a causal model of Holtz-Eakin et al (1988) to January 2001 from July 2009. The results indicate that the prices of Cameroonian agricultural products have a positive and significant impact on the gabonese markets for agricultural products. Thus, given that the Gabonese market are dependent on Cameroonian markets, it is important to increase agricultural production to meet Cameroon Cameroon's claim and the neighboring countries.
