Abilene paradox in group decision making

Abstract: In the field of organizational behavior the dominant part of the authors deals with conflicts. But problems may also occur in case of compliance, which may cause the group does not decide effectively, often unanimously, and incorrectly. The aim of this paper is to summarize the theoretical knowledge and practical cases about the phenomenon called the Abilene paradox.
