Abstract:
Innovation and knowledge are the key factors in competitiveness and sustainable development and one of major strategic goal at EU level. As a new member state, Romania has proposed to translate the cohesion objectives set out in the renewed Lisbon agenda for growth and jobs in practical measure at national and regional level. This article presents the knowledge concept and definitions in context of regional development and the situation of innovational potential at regional level, in Romania and EU.
