MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
In this paper I review the main features of the Argentine economic recovery that took place after the 2001/2002 crisis. I analyze that recovery along several dimensions: growth, fiscal and export performance, debt, international reserves, unemployment and poverty. I also review the 1990s economic policies and events that led to the crisis and the main theoretical explanations put forward to explain it. Finally, I discuss some of the main micro, meso and macro challenges ahead.
