A belvízi áruszállítás bizonytalan trendjei
Uncertain trends of the inland freight transport
Tamás Fleischer
MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
The author analyses the expected future trends of inland waterways fright in this article, especially relating the river Danube. The survey done couldn't ease author's suspicion that configuration of the Danube for a bigger waterway doesn't justify but modest investments from economic point of view, that Hungarian port development also able to tolerate but modest investments and that the development of the fleet must also be proportional to above changes. The article dealing with three possible economic scenarios underlined 'selective development' as possible positive future, while counting with other international and political issues the preferred variant seemed to be 'it doesn't so urgent'. The article accentuates that the analysis presented is hypothetical and relates to the start of necessary studies rather then to final conclusions.
