Theodore Koutroukis

MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany

Abstract: Child Labour is a global phenomenon, which is linked with serious consequences on the childhood and the development of human capital. Apart from the violation of the pertinent human rights, children's employment could harm their health and safety and affect their ability to participate in schooling. Aim of this paper is to assess the ecumenical developments in fighting child labour and the involvement of certain international organizations. Furthermore, it evaluates thecurrent trends of national policies on child labour in Greece.
