Think Tanks in Argentina: surviving the tension between the participation and the permanence

Abstract:
This document offers an overview on the conditioners that influence the development of think tanks in Argentina. The main argument is that for these organizations a tension between a greater participation in the process of public policies and its permanence in the time exists. In general, it can consider that the participation of think tanks and the degree of entailment that develop to the different actors political-partisan will be given by the valuation who make, on the one hand, of the greater exhibition or visibility than could be obtained by this means, and consequently financing; and, on the other hand the risks that this degree of involvement and entailment could imply for its permanence in the mediun and long term.
