Employment effects of wind-turbine manufacturing and installation in Europe
Henrik Klinge Jacobsen
MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
Wind turbine manufacturing and installation in Europe require production and manpower input. A simple measure is an input-output approach that link the installed wind capacity in Europe with the regional manufacture, installation and maintenance employment content. We use a detailed account of industry structure and information from surveys for key European markets. The analysis is then used for an illustrative projection of European employment associated with the expected expansion of wind capacity.
