New Public Management: opportunity for the Centre, thread for the Periphery

Miklos Rosta

MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany

Abstract: In this current study I’m offering a recommendation for the development of a model that could provide us with an answer to the following question: which factors influence the successful introduction of the reforms related to the New Public Management (NPM) movement? The question is relevant, since the East-Central European countries have just embarked on transforming their public administrations according to the NPM during the past years.
