Abstract:
This article aims to test the effect of human capital investment on economic growth in 20 countries in the MENA region through by using panel study on the period from 1999 to 2007. The results show that the investment in human capital has a positive and significant effect on economic growth of most countries in the sample. However, the results confirm the theoretical contributions emphasizing that the effect of human capital investment has a different impact on economic growth depending on the level of development of each country.
