The Basic Characteristics of the Regional Department of Attica and Estimates of Potential Output and Potential Labour

Athena Belegri-Roboli and Panayotis Michaelides

MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany

Abstract: We estimate potential labour and labour gap as well as potential output and output gap using a Cobb Douglas production function and a Hodrick-Prescott filter. We investigate the Athens Region in Greece by sector of economic activity. We find that Attica seems to be working, over the regional economy’s capabilities, a fact which leads to inflationary pressure.
