Abstract:
The topics of interest of the economists have been common since the emergence of the economic discipline like science in the beginnings of the modernity, the theoretical contributions of William Petty are an example of this. The behavior of the dynamics of employment in an economy, given that it constitutes a determinant factor of production as is the work. The Petty-Clark law can be defined as the changes that are made in a society in the dedication or employment of its population to a certain primary activity towards a more advanced (secondary-tertiary) in such a way that, the relative importance of the Sectors is gaining momentum over time. A bit of time series econometrics is done to verify compliance with the Law in the Metropolitan Area.
