Gender divisions in the academic sphere in Bulgaria

Abstract: This paper presents the results of an inquiry carried out during the period 2012-2013 within the framework of the collective scientific and research project of the Economic Research Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences “Higher education and science in Bulgaria in the beginning of the XXI century”. It analyzes and estimates the conditions for academic career of men and women and the gender balance in the academic employment participation.
