Abstract:
Deep transformations occurred during the last decades in the society and economy have established new problems and challenges. In this way, it is necessary to emphasize the role played by an important factor: technological innovation. In this general context, this paper attempts to show the geographer Milton Santos’ ideas for understanding the possibilities and problems of the processes of innovation in the contemporary society. More particularly, we use specially the concept of geographical space as base.
