Special Report—Tax Time: A Workshop Discussion on Recent Research in Applied Public Finance

Abstract: In April 2011, a workshop on recent research in empirical public finance took place in Cambridge, Ontario. Seven papers on various topics were presented by prominent academic economists. Each research paper was discussed and critiqued by two peers, and additional comments were offered by other participants in the workshop. This article presents a summary of each paper, along with a summary of the main points raised in the ensuing discussion.
