MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
This paper provides a brief analysis of socio-economic outlook of Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries with the aim of examining the relationship between resource availability, macroeconomic management and poverty. In so doing, this study attempts to provide insights into the socio-economic determinants of poverty in these countries through analysing the current stance in terms of major related macroeconomic indicators and the performance of main related sectors: agriculture, education and health.
