New cohesion and regional policy in 2021-2027 period
Daniela Antonescu ()
MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
This paper contains the main aspects and elements to the next programming period and future regional policy of the European Union. From the perspective of the next programming period, cohesion policy keeps on investing in all regions, still on the basis of three categories (less-developed; transition; more-developed). The allocation method for the funds is still largely based on GDP per capita, but the new criteria are added (youth unemployment, low education level, climate change, and the reception and integration of migrants) to better reflect the reality on the ground.
