Abstract:
Theories of property rights, agency and transaction costs have brought to light conflicts of interest that may exist between different partners in the business. The objective of this article is to study the effect of different leadership rooting strategies on the performance of Algerian listed companies. This study is carried out on a sample of 4 companies, concerning 4 CEOs of companies listed on the Algiers stock exchange during the period 2005-2017. The results of the analysis on the relationship between performance and rooting strategies show that the adoption of manager's control mechanisms can have a significant effect on performance.
