Abstract: Travel in Metro Manila at present is characterized by high levels of congestion, slow travel speeds, long journey times and limited road capacity. The situation will be further exacerbated due to the expected growth in population and income and the subsequent increase in car ownership. Localized traffic management schemes are no longer sufficient to solve the problem. Solutions on the demand side curbing the demand for car ownership and use should be considered together with solutions on the supply side that involve the provision of new road space. This study completed an integrated financial, economic, stakeholder, sensitivity and risk analysis of the proposed modified version of the Pasig expressway.
