INFLATION - ITS FINANCIAL IMPACT ON BUSINESS IN CANADA

Glenn Jenkins ()

No 1977-04, Development Discussion Papers from JDI Executive Programs

Abstract: This study identifies the ways that inflation has had a financial impact on the Canadian business sector. It also contains an estimation of the magnitude of each of these effects of inflation by industrial sector for the years 1965-1974. These individual effects are then aggregated to determine the overall impact of inflation on the income and tax payments of industries. In addition, a separate analysis is carried out to assess the impact of inflation on the cash flow of these sectors.
