Abstract:
Is the craftsman entrepreneur an homo oeconomicus? Is he a schumpeterian entrepreneur? The main objective of the craftsman entrepreneur is to exist, it is not to develop his activity on a large scale. The enterprise is for the craftsman entrepreneur a part of himself, a part of his familial sphere. The craftsman entrepreneur takes place in an economy of uncertainty. The information is not perfect, where information circulates by informal (social and individual relationships) and institutional networks (relationship between enterprises and public institutions). The objective of this paper is to link different levels of analysis: the level of the territorial economy, the relationships between enterprises, and between institutions and the individuals. The activity of the craftsman entrepreneur takes place in a territorial system of production which is defined as a pool of appropriable resources which feeds the potential of resources of the craftsman entrepreneur. This potential of resources is composed by cognitive, financial and social resources which inscribe the craftsman entrepreneur in the territorial system of production.
