Abstract: Une trentaine d’entreprises belges sont implantées à Dunkerque. About 30 Belgian enterprises are established in Dunkirk. Some of them have been present in Dunkirk since the 1920s, the others set-up in the recent period, between 1980 and 1990. Theses companies mainly invested in heavy industries, but they have also developed their activities in services in the last few years. In heavy industries, the Belgian companies are very integrated to the local economy. For the other Belgian companies, the geographic position of Dunkirk and the harbour facilities were very important in their decision.
