The Search of Competitiveness and the Entrepreneurial Evolution in a Global Environment: Toward a New Approach of Development Dynamics Based on the Case of Greek Productive System

Abstract: Globalisation is a continuous dialectic process. Consequently, the developmental evolution of each one of the socio-economic systems participating in the process of Globalisation cannot be examined independently of each other but only in the context of a dialectic - evolutionary process. The production and reproduction, the maintenance and the continuous reinforcement of competitiveness of institutions and agents of action acquire critical importance for the development of each socio-economic space in the context of Globalisation. The claim of competitiveness of socio-economic spaces presupposes the systematic increase of their attractiveness and also their innovation capability. In fact, the evolving innovative potential of the socio-economic space is the more profound motive force of development in the context of Globalisation. The search of competitiveness is planned in a global scale but always is realized and materialized in local scale. The Glocal (simultaneously, Global and Local) dynamics of competitiveness are always present and guide, in a profound dialectic manner, the organic evolution of the different productive systems. In the centre of this continual mutation the dialectic evolution of the different types/ physiologies of enterprises in Stra.Tech.Man (Strategy, Technology and Management) are taking place. On the other hand, the continual evolution of the physiological types of the enterprises is not neutral in terms of their development dynamics: they change organically their productive structure and therefore their evolutionary perspectives. In fact, the physiological evolution of these entrepreneurial types, under the continual adjustment pressures of the global process, changes the form and the nature of the National Productive System and transforms, consequently, the growth potential and the developmental trajectories of the National Socio-Economic Space. Under these comprehensions we conclude that a new approach of development dynamics in Global Era may focalise on this profound, enterprisecentred evolving procedure and valorise it in broader socio-economic explicative terms.
