Abstract: 트럼프 2기 행정부 출범 이후 미국의 관세 부과는 중국을 넘어 EU, 일본, 인도, 브라질 등 주요 교역국 전반으로 확산되고 있다. 이처럼 관세장벽이 글로벌 차원으로 확대되는 현상은 다자체제에 기반한 개방경제로 성장해온 한국 경제에 중대한 위험요인으로 작용하고 있다. 본 보고서의 목적은 이러한 글로벌 관세장벽 확산에 대응하여 정부의 정책 결정과 기업의 경영전략 수립을 지원함으로써 한국 무역과 기업의 지속가능한 성장을 뒷받침하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 관세장벽 확산에 관한 역사적 고찰, 통상법적 검토, 실증분석, 무역모형을 활용한 시나리오 분석 등을 수행하였다. U.S. tariff measures have expanded beyond China to include a broad range of major trading partners, such as the European Union, Japan, India, and Brazil. The global spread of tariff barriers poses a significant risk to the Korean economy, which has developed within an open, multilateral trading system. This study aims to support the sustainable growth of Korean trade by providing policy and strategic guidance in response to the global spread of tariff barriers. To this end, the study conducts a historical review of tariff increases, an examination of relevant trade law, empirical analyses, and simulation analyses based on a trade model.
