Abstract: 우리나라는 2017년 새 정부 출범 이후 신남방정책을 통해 대(對)아세안과의 협력관계를 한반도 주변 4대국 수준으로 격상하고자 노력하고 있다. 그러나 이를 위해서는 경제뿐 아니라 다양한 분야에서의 협력관계를 심화할 필요가 있다. 아세안 또한 2015년 정치안보공동체(APSC), 경제공동체(AEC) 및 사회문화공동체(ASCC)를 출범한 바 있으며, 이를 실현하기 위한 분야별 청사진을 제시하였다. 이러한 배경 아래 본 연구는 ASCC에 주목하여 해당 공동체 실현을 위한 협력전략을 도출하였다. 해당 공동체에 대해 구체적으로 분석한 선행연구가 거의 없고, 본 연구가 이에 관한 한ㆍ아세안 협력의 기본방향, 추진체계 및 분야별 정책과제를 제시하였다는 점에서 기존 연구와의 차별성을 확보하였다. Since the inauguration of the new government in 2017, Korea has been striving to deepen its cooperative relationship with ASEAN to the level of the four traditional major partners to the Korean Peninsula through the New Southern Policy. This requires strengthening cooperation not only in the economy but also in various fields. In 2015, the ASEAN created three communities – the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC), ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC)– also providing a blueprint for each community. In this context, this study aims to suggest our comprehensive strategies and sectoral policies to cooperate with ASEAN member countries, with a particular focus on the ASCC.
