Abstract: Recently, Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) have been attracting attention as a promising way to power the rapidly proliferating number of artificial intelligence (AI) server farms and other data centers.

This paper examines the current state of the global SMR industry and identifies the implications for Korean policy carried by the analysis.
