No 22-20, Industrial Economic Review from Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade

Abstract: This paper aims to identify the signs of insolvency or competitiveness in the multilayered structure of all industries and enterprises and in the integration method. From an industrial perspective, this paper identifies the spectrum of industrial competitiveness across all subsegments of the manufacturing sector, from industries with the weakest competitiveness to industries with the strongest competitiveness, and analyzes how they change over time. From a corporate perspective, this paper identifies the spectrum of corporate competitiveness across all enterprises within manufacturing from the companies with the weakest competitiveness to the firms with strongest competitiveness, and analyzes how they change over time. Furthermore, this paper combines the industrial competitiveness spectrum with the corporate competitiveness spectrum in order to systematically identify the competitiveness of enterprises and industries and identify the changes that occur over time.
