Global production networks and linkages: a new development perspective

Abstract: This paper attempts to bring together advances in literature on industrial economics and marketing, development economics, complexity (evolutionary theory), international business and geography of global production in order to illustrate an emerging paradigm of development which I call linkage promotion (LP).
