Abstract: In the paper, in the first part are presented various approaches of sustainable development, the inflexion point moment that have marked the emergence and evolution of the concept, and some reference visions of known specialists in implementation methods for this concept in the world practices. In the second part, are revealed the European and national institutions and the appropriate indicators that can be used in monitoring the implementation of sustainable development in EU and Romania . The authors finish their communication through highlighting the obligations of respecting assessors operation evaluation requirements in the international standard of assessment practice - GN 7 (which refers to the influence of toxic or hazardous substances on property assessment), and in particular the scope of the professionals take into account the operation and other aspects of sustainable development.
