Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the most important events that influenced the integration of the Romania into the European Union. I structured this paperwork in two main chapters. In the first chapter I presented the implementation of the most important commercial measures applied in order to adjust the Romanian economy at European Union standards. In the second chapter I described some other important measures applied.
