HIGHLIGHTING UN-ADAPTATIVE DIMENSIONS OF ORGANIZATIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF A SPECIAL SCHOOL

Abstract:
This study has focused on highlighting un-adaptative dimensions of organizational environment of a special school. Main targets as follows: organizational climate (relations between teachers) subjects personality traits, motivation / lack of motivation, job satisfaction and amount of stress to which psycho teachers are exposed to, considering the specific of the school where the study took place - mental deficiency and behavior disorders. As psycho-diagnosis tool the questionnaire was used, namely: E.P.I, I.M.S.I, and a specific questionnaire designed for special schools, which included 26 items and focused - professional relations, motivation and job satisfaction. Processing the data, leads to the conclusions: organizational climate is positive, as a result of collaboration and a spirit of mutual assistance between colleagues, dissatisfied at work, performing poorly due uninvolvment in various activities; salary is for many respondents “an income to the lower limit of existence and uncertain"; only working with students with special needs education is rewarding; participation to training courses is very low (mostly the young are interested); work environment conditions are satisfactory for 52% of subjects; promotion opportunities in special education system are limited in view of more than half of the subjects; stress is a problem faced by many subjects age under 35 years.
