Abstract:
The present research proposes the development of an assessment instrument of primary school age interest fields. In order to reach this objective, a pilot study has been realized on 160 subjects with ages between 6 and 12 years. The research of primary school age interests has been developed through the elaboration of a questionnaire based on 10 interest fields. Our scientific research has had as start point the Jackson’s theory based on interests, and our questionnaire has into view 10 thematical fields/ scales. The scales cover interest fields as: empiric curious, practical, logical, assertive, socialized, help orientated, conventional, enterprising, communicative, and expressive. The preliminary results obtained after the items’ analysis and the studies on the intern consistency fidelity (also an alpha Cronbach quotient), recommend our instrument as being a trustful one in the assessment of primary school age interests.
